Honey Brownies
This recipe mixes up slightly runny, but cooks up well.
1/2 cup Butter
1 tsp Vanilla
1 1/2 cup Flour
2/3 cup Mossop's Field & Tawari Honey
50g Chocolate
1/2 tsp Salt
1 tsp Baking Powder
1 cup Chopped Nuts
2 Eggs
- In a small pan over low heat, melt chocolate, butter, salt and vanilla. Mix well and remove from heat.
- Blend in Honey, Flour and Baking Powder.
- Add eggs and beat well.
- Add nuts and pour into greased 9x9x2 inch cake pan.
- Bake at 160oC, for 35 to 40 minutes or until centre test indicates cake is cooked.
- Cool before cutting into squares.
- Ice with a Mocha Icing, if desired, and decorate with chopped nuts and grated chocolate.
