There are many unavoidable nasties in the food we eat, the water we drink and the pollution in the air so why not do what you can to avoid putting more directly on your skin? Here are a list of SOME of the chemical ingredients you will find in many cosmetic products.

Ammonium lauryl sulfate (ALS)
May cause erythema and skin irritation.
Benzalkonium chloride
Causes skin irritation, contact dermatitis & allergies.
Butylated hudroxyanisole (BHA)
Causes allergies & contact dermatitis.
Butylene glycol
Cannot be absorbed by skin, suffocates skin and clogs pores causing acne. Is suspected to also cause carcinogens, and mutagens.
Chloromethylisothiazolinone
Causes skin irritation, contact dermatitis & allergies.
DMDM hydrantoin
May contain, release, or break down into formaldehyde which is a known neurotoxin and carcinogen.
Dimethicone
(Silicone = anything ending in ‘cone’) Clogs pores, causes acne, carcinogens & mutagens it also has potential to cause tumors.
“-eth” as their suffix
(ethylene oxide, EO or propylene oxide, PO) eg. sodium laureth sulfate 3EO, 7EO, 12EO etc. May contain 1,4-Dioxane which is carcinogen and hormone system destroyer.
Isocetyl stearate
These ingredients have been shown to cause allergies and dermatitis, would induce acne as well.
Isostearyl neopentanate
These ingredients have been shown to cause allergies and dermatitis, would induce acne as well.
Isopropyl isostearate
These ingredients have been shown to cause allergies and dermatitis, would induce acne as well.
Isothiazolinone
