Research has established that Manuka Honey contains the Unique Manuka Factor (UMF™) which is derived by the bee from Manuka flowers and includes the natural component Methylglyoxal (MG). Each batch of Mossop’s UMF™ Manuka Honey has been laboratory tested to ensure the presence of the UMF™ and MG components. The UMF™ grading system appraises natural markers found in Manuka honey, and assures purity and quality.

Mossop’s UMF™ Manuka Honeys are extracted and dispatched from our premises in a natural state that contains no added Dihydroxyacetone (DHA) or Methylglyoxal (MG).

  2. A

Thank you for your inquiry.  I was not familiar with Manuka Honey USA so had to do a bit of research.  UMF® is an internationally verified and recognised quality trademark. It is backed by an industry quality standard, product traceability, independent audits and a large network of accredited laboratories in New Zealand and around the world.  Because the Manuka Honey USA product carries this trademark that tells me that the honey has been tested to meet certain levels and standards.  So yes I would say that our UMF15+ is very similar to UMF16+.

Thank you for your inquiry.  We do not have a set date and time that the UMF15+ honey will be available.  When we do have it, it is in limited quantities and sells very fast.  It all comes down to the bees and the seasons.  Once it is available again it will be listed on our website.  Regards Tessa

  4. A Hello, Thank you for your inquiry. It all depends which batch you get sent with your order (this is not something we can predict, it is whatever is on the shelf at the time) but we have a minimum Best Before Date of three years from the date it was packed into the jar. This is what is required by law however honey will last much longer than this and as it is a Best Before, not a Use By Date, the products will still be perfectly fine to consume after the Best Before Date. Regards, Venita Campbell Mossop's Honey
